Miki Hoshii, an idol with 765 Production, shares her daily life with miniature idols called Puchidols. She forms a close bond with Afu, a Puchidol resembling her in appearance and personality, who she adopts after finding Afu asleep on Ritsuko Akizuki's head. Afu possesses a defining passion for onigiri, actively seeking them out and fiercely protecting any she finds. Known as a heavy sleeper, Afu often remains asleep through various situations unless motivated by the presence of rice balls. Her behavior includes selfish acts like taking food from others, jumping on sleeping Puchidols to use them as a bed, or causing unexplained disruptions within the office.

A notable seasonal change affects Afu during summer. Her hair turns brown and shortens significantly. Concurrently, her personality shifts: she becomes notably clingy towards males and exhibits this same clinginess towards Makoto Kikuchi. Her distinctive speech patterns, incorporating "Afuu!" and "Nano!", expand to include "Hanii!" during this period. This summer behavior involves attempting to physically cling to males and Makoto, sometimes feigning distress to avoid being controlled.

Beyond caring for Afu, Miki encounters other Puchidols. During one assignment, she discovers Makochi, the Puchidol resembling Makoto Kikuchi. Although Miki finds Makochi, Makoto ultimately becomes Makochi's caretaker.
