ONA
Description
Miki Hoshii is an idol working at the talent agency 765 Production who appears in the spin-off series Puchimas, where she is accompanied by her miniature counterpart, a Puchidol named Afu. Originally from Kanagawa, Miki is known for her natural talent and outstanding idol skills, yet she is often characterized by her extremely lazy and laid-back attitude. She rarely takes anything seriously, believes she can become a top idol without much effort, and tends to fall asleep whenever she is not in the mood to work. Her easygoing nature comes from growing up in a laissez-faire family that never pressured her; she achieves good grades with minimal work and receives frequent confessions of love due to her good looks. In Puchimas, Miki’s defining trait is her love for onigiri rice balls, which are the only reliable way to wake her from her deep sleep. Her Puchidol, Afu, is a cheeky miniature who similarly loves eating onigiri and often sleeps on the heads of other characters. Miki’s role in the story is that of a supporting idol who interacts with other members of 765 Production and their Puchidols, often causing minor chaos through her laziness and obsession with food. She has a notable relationship with fellow idol Ritsuko Akizuki, who once scolded her for fighting over a rice ball, after which the two became friends. While Miki shows little overt development in the Puchimas series itself, her underlying charisma and ability to captivate others at first sight remain constant, and she retains the same confident, carefree personality that defines her across the larger franchise.
