Description
Ookami-Otoko, also known as the Wolf Man, is a werewolf from Monster Land and one of the three attendants who serve Kaibutsu-kun, the prince of Monster Land, during his time in the human world. In the events of Kaibutsu-kun: Kaibutsu Land e no Shōtai, he accompanies Kaibutsu-kun together with Dracula and Franken when the group returns to Monster Land. When Kaibutsu-kun's human friend Hiroshi is turned to stone for breaking Monster Land's rule against humans, Ookami-Otoko joins the search for the flower of life that can restore him, traveling with the others into Phantom Valley, the territory of the warlike Warrior Monster tribe.
In appearance, Ookami-Otoko looks like a bald, somewhat stout middle-aged man. He stands about 164 centimeters tall and weighs roughly 101 kilograms. He transforms into a wolf when he sees a full moon or a round object, although an ordinary round object produces only a partial transformation. In his wolf form, he fights with fangs and claws, relying on a wolf's keen sense of smell and quick movements. In his human form, however, his strength, stamina, and agility are close to those of an ordinary person, which puts him at a disadvantage in combat. Because even a simple round object can trigger his change, he sometimes transforms at inconvenient moments, such as when he sees the egg in a bowl of tsukimi udon.
Within the group, Ookami-Otoko serves as the housekeeper and cook. He is a well-known cook from Monster Land whose skill is said to rival that of top human chefs, and he is responsible for the meals and household chores of the monster residence. He has an honest, friendly, and caring nature and is fond of looking after others. He speaks with the sentence-ending habit of adding "gansu" and addresses Kaibutsu-kun as "bocchan," meaning young master. His favorite foods are udon and Baumkuchen.
