Description
Tippy, a white Angora rabbit with cloud-like fur, is frequently confused for a small dog or playfully dubbed a living puffball. He perches atop Chino Kafū’s head, occasionally relocating to Cocoa Hoto’s in her absence. Though resembling an ordinary rabbit, Tippy harbors a secret: his consciousness belongs to Chino’s late grandfather, the former proprietor of Rabbit House café, whose spirit lingered mysteriously within the rabbit’s form after death. Only Chino and her father know his true identity, masking his speech as ventriloquism to maintain the ruse.

Tippy speaks freely, offering witty remarks or grumbling at irritations like Cocoa’s doting attentions. While often near Chino, he converses independently, even in solitude. His past intertwines with Cocoa’s childhood when they met in a park—a memory she cherishes as enchanted, unknowingly tied to his transformation.

A staunch guardian of Rabbit House’s legacy, Tippy bristles at modern additions like darts or blowguns, clashing quietly with his son Takahiro over café management and mixology. His devotion centers on Chino’s future, fretting over her evolving interests—ballet, for instance—and their effect on her ties to the café.

During a pivotal train ride, Tippy witnesses Chino’s determination about her path. Content with her resolve, he surrenders his speech, becoming a regular rabbit to close his ethereal chapter. His interactions extend to a prickly rapport with Anko, a rival mascot; distant civility toward Syaro’s rabbit, Wild Geese; and gentle support for Aoyama during her challenges, though she never learns his truth.
