Lala, part of Sanrio's Little Twin Stars, originates from Omoiyari Star in the Dream Star-Cloud alongside her younger brother Kiki. Born on December 24th, the siblings share a close bond, though Lala frequently worries about Kiki's adventurous tendencies. She exhibits a gentle and creative personality, enjoying drawing, writing poetry, and cooking. Their parents sent them to Earth to foster independence and maturity, providing magical aids: Kiki received a flight-enabling star, while Lala carries a wand that summons snacks and guides their path. A shape-shifting cloud accompanies them as a resting place.

In the OVA "Kiki to Lala no Ohime-sama ni Naritai," Lala and Kiki prepare for the Hoshi Matsuri (Star Festival), discussing wishes for falling stars. Kiki deceives Lala by trading her candy for a fake wishing star. After discovering the trick, Lala grows upset and declares they are no longer friends. Kiki ventures into a hazardous area to find a real wishing star, sparking the central conflict. This experience teaches Lala about forgiveness and selflessness in their friendship.

Lala’s design includes long pink hair, a simple long-sleeved white gown, and typically bare feet. As Kiki's older sister, she often expresses concern for his safety during adventures. The OVA underscores their sibling dynamic, featuring typical disagreements and reconciliations.
