TV-Series
Description
Kotori Minami attended Otonokizaka High School as a second-year student. Her long-standing childhood friendships with Honoka Kosaka and Umi Sonoda originated during early games like hide-and-seek. Her mother's position as chairwoman of Otonokizaka Academy shaped Kotori's connection to the school.

Kotori possessed a kind, caring, and cheerful personality, frequently prioritizing others' feelings above her own. This altruism sometimes caused indecisiveness, leading her to rely on Honoka and Umi for decisions. She struggled to express her own emotions openly due to excessive consideration for others, though she revealed underlying determination when pursuing valued goals. Despite her gentle nature, she displayed moments of naivety, such as believing Nico Yazawa's claims about having a personal chef.

Her creative talents defined her contributions to the school idol group μ's. As primary costume designer, she crafted outfits tailored to each member's individuality while ensuring visual cohesion for performances, emphasizing color coordination and movement compatibility. Early in the group's formation, she assisted with choreography before Eli Ayase assumed that role. Concurrently, Kotori secretly worked at an Akihabara maid café under the alias "Minalinsky," earning renown as the "Legendary Maid" for her kindness, soft voice, and customer service.

A significant personal conflict arose when Kotori considered studying fashion abroad but delayed informing Honoka and Umi to avoid upsetting them, reflecting her tendency to suppress personal desires. Though initially planning to leave, she ultimately chose to remain in Japan and continue with μ's. Following this decision, she joined the student council to assist Honoka (president) and Umi (vice president).

Kotori maintained specific routines: waking at 6:30 AM, studying, walking her family's golden retriever, practicing yoga while listening to language CDs, and enjoying hobbies like quilting and making sweets—particularly her favorite food, cheesecake. She disliked garlic and preferred rose-scented bath products during hour-long baths. Physically, she stood 159 cm tall with measurements of 80-58-80 cm and had long grayish-brown hair typically styled in a side ponytail featuring a distinctive top hair loop.

Critiques noted narrative inconsistency in her character development, citing asserted self-discovery during the "Wonder Zone" episode and subsequent regression during the study abroad storyline. Some interpretations highlighted her persistent reluctance to communicate personal struggles despite earlier narrative emphasis on growth.

In later activities, Kotori participated in μ's campaigns to save the school from closure and competed in the Love Live tournament. Her responsibilities expanded to include logistical support for performances alongside ongoing costume design and student council work.
