Description
Nozomi Tōjō is a third-year student at Otonokizaka High School. Because her family moved frequently for work during her childhood, she often struggled to make lasting friends. Determined to avoid further transfers, she began living alone upon entering high school. She originally comes from the Kansai region, and her speech carries a relaxed Kansai dialect. She serves as the student council vice-president, working alongside the student council president, Eli Ayase.

Nozomi has an easygoing and perceptive personality. She often appears wise and mysterious, in part due to her strong interest in spiritual matters. She enjoys helping at the local Kanda Shrine, believes in power spots and charms, and is well known for her fortune-telling using a deck of tarot cards. She uses her readings not only for fun but also as a way to read situations and gently guide others. Despite her calm exterior, she is emotionally attuned to the people around her and often offers quiet support from behind the scenes.

Her primary motivation is to see others happy. She is deeply invested in the wellbeing of her friends and the success of the school idol group. She is actually the key figure behind the formation of μ's, having carefully observed the other girls and subtly encouraged them to come together. She believes that hardworking girls deserve encouragement and that happiness is best shared with everyone.

In the story, Nozomi acts as an emotional anchor and a harmonizer. She does not seek the spotlight but instead ensures that group dynamics remain balanced. When conflicts or doubts arise, she provides perspective and helps the members find common ground. Her role as a confidante is especially important to Eli, who relies on Nozomi for emotional support and advice. Together they form a strong partnership, with Nozomi's relaxed nature complementing Eli's more serious and responsible demeanor. She also has a close bond with the other members, always watching over them and offering guidance when needed.

Throughout the series, Nozomi undergoes significant personal growth. Initially, she keeps some emotional distance due to her past experiences of moving. Over time, she becomes fully open with her friends and allows herself to be part of something larger. Graduation marks a bittersweet transition, but she continues to remain involved with μ's.

Notable abilities include her tarot card readings and her talent for reading people and situations intuitively. She also has a nurturing side, often acting as a big-sister figure to the younger members. Her overall presence helps maintain the group's unity and helps drive the story toward its positive conclusion.
