Description
Drum Kōryū, also known internationally as Dante Koryu, hails from Spain where he competed alongside Valt Aoi on BC Sol. Witnessing Valt's Sword Valtryek achieve Hyper-Flux ignited his ambition to forge his own Gamma Beyblade, driving him to relocate to Japan for specialized training. There, he joined the Victories team under his uncle Tango Koryu, training with members like Arman Kusaba and Delta Zakuro.

His appearance features cropped blonde hair with distinct blue, horn-shaped highlights at each temple, bronze eyebrows, and red-and-yellow facial markings beneath his eyes. Initially, he sported a white collared shirt with a red tie, teal baggy pants held by light-blue suspenders, white dress shoes, and a blue jacket adorned with lime stripes, yellow sleeve accents, and a red "D" on the left flap. A red fingerless glove consistently covers his left hand. Later arcs update his attire to a yellow collared shirt, a jacket with modified white and dark-blue accents featuring a dual "D" insignia, and teal pants with vertical white stripes, retaining the glove and shoes. When resonating with his Beyblade, the blue highlights emit blue flames.

Characterized by optimism, passion, and earnestness, he demonstrates resilient determination to overcome opponents through repeated battles. However, he exhibits clumsiness and forgetfulness, often accidentally revealing strategies or overlooking critical match details. Strong emotions like nervousness or excitement trigger a habit of making intimidating facial expressions. Victories can lead to overconfidence, and he communicates directly with his Beyblade, indicating a deep resonance shared by top Bladers.

His Beyblade journey started with Air Knight Vertical Volcanic. Upon joining Victories, he wielded three primary Beyblades: Ace Dragon Sting Charge Zan (Attack), Glyph Dragon Sting Charge Zan (Stamina), and Rock Dragon Sting Charge Zan (Defense). Arthur Peregrine destroyed these, leading to an upgrade with Command Dragon Ignition'. He later borrowed Delta Zakuro's Master Layer Base to create Master Dragon Ignition'. In subsequent arcs, he adopted Triumph Dragon Charge Metal 1A as an S-Tier competitor, followed by Gambit Dragon Karma-Q Zephyr-Q+Eruption-4' in later tournaments.

His signature battle techniques include Dragon Launch (ricocheting off stadium walls for accelerated attacks), Spring Cannon (utilizing spring mechanisms for speed boosts), and Rock Crash (high-force collisions). He achieves Hyper-Flux, a synchronization state granting temporary power and speed boosts, and later masters the team-enhanced Rainbow-Flux. Other techniques encompass Glyph Strike (rapid barrage attacks), Ignition Force (directional spin changes), and Ultimate Break (rubber-blade assaults).

Key battles include initial losses to Valt Aoi and Arman Kusaba. A decisive rematch victory against Arman unlocked his ability to communicate with his Beyblade's spirit. His rivalry with Arthur Peregrine culminated in a win using Master Dragon Ignition', though he suffered multiple defeats against Gwyn Reynolds before ultimately defeating him. Notable tag-team battles feature both losses and victories alongside Delta Zakuro against Arthur and Gwyn.

Significant relationships include viewing Valt Aoi as his primary inspiration, forming a fierce rivalry with Arthur Peregrine, and receiving mentorship from Gwyn Reynolds. Within Victories, he maintains competitive yet collaborative dynamics with Delta Zakuro and Arman Kusaba.

In later arcs, his role shifts from protagonist to supporting competitor. He participates in tournaments like the Legend Festival and Lodestar Battle Tournament with updated Beyblades, though his narrative focus diminishes as new protagonists emerge.
