Description
Yuuki Mishima is a second-year Shujin Academy student in classes with Ren Amamiya and Ann Takamaki. Initially on the volleyball team under abusive coach Suguru Kamoshida, Mishima endured mistreatment and was forced to spread malicious rumors at Kamoshida's command, including about Ren before his arrival. This coerced complicity fueled his guilt and sense of powerlessness.

After Kamoshida's change of heart and confession, Mishima deduced Ren and Ryuji Sakamoto's connection to the Phantom Thieves. Seeking redemption, he created and managed the Phantom Aficionado Website (Phan-site), a public platform for submitting requests targeting corrupt individuals in Mementos. This made him a key support figure, channeling target information to the group.

Mishima's journey explores insecurity and a craving for recognition. As the Phan-site grew popular, his initial altruism mixed with a desire for personal validation and status. This led him to suggest targeting the Phantom Thieves' critics and "nonbelievers," revealing a distorted sense of justice. His inner conflict materialized as a Shadow in Mementos, requiring Phantom Thieves intervention. Unlike other targets, Mishima confronted his flaws directly, achieving self-realization without a forced change of heart, and recommitted to the Phan-site's original purpose of aiding victims.

Personality-wise, Mishima exhibits passivity, social anxiety, and excessive apologizing, stemming from prolonged bullying and abuse. Yet, he proves perceptive, identifying Ren's Phantom Thief link and tracking public sentiment shifts through Phan-site polls. He demonstrates technical skill in website management and evidence gathering.

Expanded material reveals an additional layer of guilt: Mishima acknowledges fetching Shiho Suzui for Kamoshida just before her assault and suicide attempt. A pivotal development occurs when he independently protects a former bully from attackers, using threats of evidence exposure instead of relying on the Phantom Thieves. This act signifies his growing understanding that personal agency, not supernatural help, drives change.

Physically, Mishima has short black hair with a blue tint, hazel eyes, and an average build. He typically wears a modified Shujin uniform—untucked shirt, rolled sleeves. His casual attire often includes a white-and-green volleyball-themed shirt and cargo pants.
