Ximena Coronado co-owned an inn with her father in Santa Bard, capital of the Valiante Kingdom. Her first encounter with Germán Luís found him stripped of clothing and equipment; she supplied him with a sheet for cover. Later, she employed her medical knowledge to nurse Germán back to health after he sustained critical injuries battling Mendoza and León, treating his severe wounds without apparent side effects. During his recovery at her inn, a bond formed, culminating in Ximena confessing her feelings with a kiss before Germán departed for battle. This led to a romantic encounter, after which Germán left while she slept.

Months later, Ximena discovered she was pregnant with Germán's child. Germán's Madogu, Jiruba, revealed the unborn child was a boy, causing concern for Germán's son, León. Jiruba was later given to Ximena, presumably by León, serving as a protective charm to detect Horrors and ensure her safety during the pregnancy.

Following Germán's death, Ximena gave birth to their son, Roberto Luís, rightful inheritor of the Zoro armor. When masked individuals kidnapped Roberto, Ximena pursued them but could not keep pace. León witnessed the abduction and promised to retrieve the child. After the defeat of Nigra Venus and Dario Montoya, Ximena tearfully reunited with Germán during his temporary resurrection. This reunion was shattered when Dario, transformed into the Horror Sir Venus, attacked the family. Germán sacrificed himself to protect them, perishing once more. Comforted by Roberto afterward, Ximena accompanied León, Alfonso, Ema, and Roberto back home.
