Description
Pekorin is the main fairy companion of the heroines in the anime Kirakira Precure a la Mode. She is a puppy-like fairy who originally lived in the fairy village on Ichigo Mountain, where fairies made sweets together. When thieves began stealing Kirakiraru, the sparkling energy that makes sweets delicious, the elder fairy Chourou sacrificed his physical body to protect the younger fairies, and Pekorin fell into the human world together with a miniature sweets shop. She came to find Ichika Usami, the girl who would become the first of the new legendary patissier Pretty Cure, in order to save her world.
In terms of personality, Pekorin is cheerful, affectionate, and somewhat spoiled. She is a glutton who is almost always hungry, and she loves sweets above almost everything else. She also enjoys making sweets, though her enthusiasm often outpaces her skill, and she is prone to clumsy mistakes in the kitchen. She is goodhearted and amiable toward her friends, and she will go to great lengths to help them, especially when it comes to protecting the sweets they care about. She is brave in an impulsive way: she has long dreamed of meeting the legendary patissier Pretty Cure and often tries to confront enemies on her own, only to be blown away or hurt. Her speech habits include ending sentences with "peko" and saying phrases such as "my stomach is peko peko." She is also good at imitating dogs and cats. A distinctive feature is that her ears change color with her emotions: rainbow when something tastes wonderful, light blue when she is hungry, pink when she is happy, yellow when she is begging, blue when she is sad, red when she is sulking, and green when she is sleepy.
