Description
Pekorin is a puppy-like fairy and the main mascot of the KiraKira☆Pretty Cure A La Mode series, possessing the ability to sense a special energy within sweets known as Kirakiraru. The fairy’s ears shift color according to emotion: light blue when hungry, pink when happy, yellow when feeling spoiled, green when fatigued, red when peevish, and dark blue when sad. Pekorin can also fly.

This fairy is characterized as a glutton who is almost always hungry and rather spoiled, yet remains goodhearted and amiable toward friends. Pekorin is passionate about making sweets, though prone to mistakes, and will go to great lengths to help others, especially when it involves protecting their sweets.

Pekorin shares a close bond with Usami Ichika, having bonded quickly after being fed and rescued by her as Cure Whip. The fairy serves as an apprentice to Chourou and is often seen accompanying him. A strong friendship exists with Kirarin, also known as Kirahoshi Ciel, and Pekorin displays pure joy whenever they reunite. The fairy is also good friends with Kotozume Yukari, who offers gentle strokes that Pekorin enjoys.

Pekorin first met Ichika after failing to prevent a creature named Gummy from stealing Kirakiraru. Hungry and desperate, Pekorin asked Ichika for a sweet, then noticed her distress. When Gummy returned and began draining Kirakiraru from Ichika’s cakes, Pekorin snatched the last piece to protect it but was struck and fell. This act of determination inspired Ichika to become Cure Whip and rescue the fairy.

Later, Pekorin attempted to make donuts with the Cures but failed. After hearing how fairies from Ichigo Mountain had been scattered by Kirakiraru Thieves, Pekorin cried and flew away. Encouraged by Ichika, Pekorin regained confidence and traveled to the mountain’s abandoned workshop, but could not resist eating a donut and was spotted by an enemy named Fueru. The Pretty Cures arrived just in time to defend the fairy.

On another occasion, Pekorin pretended to be a real dog to avoid raising suspicion with a human named Kenjou Miku, though a careless meow nearly exposed the disguise. Pekorin organized a party with the Cures to gather fellow fairies and was overjoyed to reunite with most, initially failing to recognize Kirahoshi Ciel until she transformed back into Kirarin. After discovering that Julio was actually Pikario, Pekorin begged him to return to the good side, only to be harshly rejected.

Pekorin was granted the ability to transform into a human by Lumière, though later gave up this power during a fight against Grave to help the Cures. Feeling betrayed upon learning that Yukari planned to study abroad, Pekorin broke down in tears. After a battle, Yukari embraced Pekorin, Ichika, and the others.

Pekorin and Chourou later searched for their friends in a quiet Ichigozaka and found them suffering from amnesia and loss of emotion. Hoping to rekindle their memories, Pekorin baked donuts but was arrested by Grave. The fairy retrieved the nearly incinerated donuts, which granted the power to transform into Cure Pekorin. This form helped the Cures recover their memories and rediscover what they loved during the final battle. In a later episode, Pekorin aided in the final fight against Elisio and gained the ability to fly as their forms changed. Years later, Pekorin had grown into a teenager and opened a sweets shop with Chourou and Bibury.

As Cure Pekorin, the fairy’s catchphrase is, "With Hunger and Sparkles! Let’s・La・Mix It All Up! Cure Pekorin! Is Ready To Serve!" The transformation begins with the phrase "Cure La Mode・Decoration!" A Sweets Pact opens, and after shouting the phrase, a donut-themed animal sweet appears, forming a pink beater-like pen. Mixing lights together completes the transformation into a new outfit featuring many donut shapes. The only known formal attack, Cure Donut, was used in episode 49 and involves swinging a Candy Rod to create a giant ring of Kirakiraru that captures and restricts the foe.

Pekorin is good at imitating cats and dogs.
