TV-Series
Description
Non, a human woman of the Hito Clan with latent supernatural abilities, was sixteen when Genma soldiers attacked her village, demanding women for the Maoh King. To protect her village, Non agreed to bear the king's child. During this coerced agreement, soldiers threatened her father and forced her to disrobe publicly, inflicting profound humiliation.
Presented to the Maoh King, Non was raped and impregnated. She later gave birth to twin sons, Loof and Jin, in a cave near her village. Unable to care for both infants, she kept Jin; Loof was taken to be raised by the Genma. Villagers branded Non a "whore" and banished her, though her parents secretly brought her food.
Five years later, Loof wandered into the village and injured children who confused him for Jin, prompting villagers to demand Non address the resulting damage to their fields. A decade after the twins' birth, the Maoh King's renewed interest in Non spurred Queen Parome's jealous retaliation, sending assassins to eliminate her.
Non possessed long brown hair with side-swept bangs (later cut shoulder-length in her twenties and thirties), blue eyes, and pale skin. She typically wore a tattered light blue peasant dress and beige flats. Though deceased during the story's main events, her spiritual presence is implied to watch over her sons. Her sacrifice and suffering directly motivated Loof and Jin's rebellion against the Maoh King and their mission to alter the timeline.
