Description
Kamijou Touma is a high school student residing in Academy City, officially designated as a Level 0 esper because his unique ability remains undetectable. His right hand harbors a power called Imagine Breaker, which negates all supernatural phenomena, including magic, esper powers, and divine forces. This ability also cancels his own good luck, resulting in a life of persistent misfortune.
His childhood was overshadowed by a reputation as a jinx due to the misfortunes tied to his power, earning him the moniker "god of pestilence." After a superstitious individual attempted to stab him, his father sent him to Academy City—a move later revealed to be orchestrated by Aleister Crowley to draw him into the city.
Within Academy City, his classmates regard him as a precious person because his presence draws away their collective misfortune, though male classmates often resent him for his apparent luck in attracting female attention. Despite this, he has not pursued a serious romantic relationship.
