Misaki Okusawa is a third-year student at Hanasakigawa Girls' High School and the DJ and composer for the band Hello, Happy World!. She operates under the guise of Michelle, a pink bear mascot character, and also acts as Michelle's agent, handling everything from composing music to booking stage performances. Only Kanon Matsubara knows the true identity of Michelle. Misaki initially became involved with Hello, Happy World! while working a part-time job wearing a bear costume, and Kokoro Tsurumaki pulled her into the band. She is a reluctant member who often takes on the role of the straight man among her eccentric bandmates.

Misaki is kind, reserved, and considerate toward others. She has a dry sense of humor and often responds with sarcasm or exasperation, especially when dealing with the unpredictable antics of her bandmates. She is hardworking, sensible, and serves as the voice of reason in her friend group, though she has a shy side and may feel troubled by the chaos around her. She cares deeply for her friends and, over time, has learned to express her true thoughts more openly. Outside of band activities, Misaki is the student council president of her school and enjoys making wool felt dolls for her younger sister; she also has a preference for family restaurant menus.

Within Hello, Happy World!, Misaki is the core member responsible for the band's composition and logistical management, allowing her bandmates to focus on their performances. She shares a close bond with Kanon Matsubara, considering her the only other sensible member of the group, and is also friends with Rimi Ushigome from outside the band. Her primary motivation is to support the band despite her initial reluctance, gradually finding her own place among the group. As a DJ, she provides the electronic elements of the band's sound, and her compositions help shape Hello, Happy World!'s energetic and whimsical musical identity.
