Tomoyo Kurosawa is a Japanese actress, voice actress, and singer born on April 10, 1996, in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. She began studying acting at the age of three and started her career as a child actor, appearing in television dramas, commercials, and stage productions from the year 2000. Her early stage work included performances in musicals such as Mozart! in 2005. From 2008, she became a support member of the musical project Sound Horizon, appearing in their concerts and providing vocals for their 2010 story CD, Märchen.
Kurosawa made her debut as a voice actor in the 2010 animated film Welcome to the Space Show, where she played the role of Natsuki Koyama. Her first regular role in a television anime series came in 2012 with the character Otome Arisugawa in Aikatsu!. In 2015, she landed her first leading role as Kumiko Omae in the Kyoto Animation series Sound! Euphonium, a performance that would become one of her most iconic and critically acclaimed. She voiced this character across multiple television seasons and several films, including Liz and the Blue Bird and the final film in the series.
Her career is marked by a wide range of significant roles across various genres. She has voiced protagonists and key characters such as Phosphophyllite in Land of the Lustrous, Amiya in the Arknights anime adaptations, Rebecca in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Mitsumi Iwakura in Skip and Loafer, and Göll in Record of Ragnarok.
