Description
Saaya Yamabuki is a student at Hanasakigawa Girls' High School and the drummer for Poppin'Party. She formed a close friendship with Kasumi at their high school entrance ceremony, leading them to share lunch every day. Her family runs Yamabuki Bakery, where Saaya regularly helps, balancing this duty with school and band commitments. As the eldest of three siblings, she has a younger brother, Jun, and a younger sister, Sana.

Previously, Saaya played in the middle school band CHiSPA but quit before a significant performance. This decision arose from her worry about burdening bandmates and family during her mother's health crisis, prioritizing familial responsibilities over music. Kasumi's persistent encouragement and her mother's support later rekindled Saaya's passion, prompting her to join Poppin'Party as their final member. In an alternate storyline, her father fell ill before the performance and her mother had passed away, further highlighting her family-centric motivations.

Physically, Saaya possesses royal blue eyes and long, curly brown hair, usually styled in a high ponytail secured with a ribbon. Her initial outfit features pale yellow pants and a white, frilled off-the-shoulder top. She stands 157 cm tall.

Saaya displays a kind, empathetic, and hardworking personality. She frequently acts as a supportive listener for friends and bandmates, embodying an "older sister" role within Poppin'Party due to her maturity and level-headedness. Her strong sense of responsibility leads her to assist classmates like Hagumi with studies, though her agreeable nature makes it difficult for her to decline requests. She maintains friendships outside her band, notably with Tomoe, bonding over shared roles as older sisters and drummers, and Moca, who frequently visits Yamabuki Bakery.

Her character development involves rediscovering confidence in drumming through Poppin'Party. In *Garupa☆Pico*, she practices playing drums with three drumsticks. Following the in-game event "My Design, My Texture," she develops an interest in photography, often carrying a camera and contributing photographs for band materials.

Additional details include her hobby of collecting hair scrunchies, an aversion to raw seafood, and a preference for spaghetti aglio olio e peperoncino and cheese. Animals consistently avoid or react negatively to her interaction attempts. She enjoys romance movies, particularly Cinderella stories. Her name, Saaya, combines "sand" (sa) and "satin-like silk" (aya), while Yamabuki means "mountain" (yama) and "song/wind" (buki).
