Description
Rimi Ushigome progresses from first to third year at Hanasakigawa Girls' High School, shifting from Class 1-A to 2-B then 3-B. Her reserved nature contrasts with fierce musical determination. Originally from Kansai, she moved during middle school; nervousness or excitement triggers her Kansai dialect, causing embarrassment. Her sister Yuri, Glitter*Green's lead vocalist, profoundly influenced her musical path, passing down the pink ESP Viper bass their parents gifted Yuri.
At Hanasakigawa's entrance ceremony, Kasumi Toyama’s optimism captivated Rimi. Though longing to overcome shyness, Rimi initially declined joining Poppin'Party due to stage fright. Witnessing Kasumi’s impromptu SPACE performance while awaiting Glitter*Green shifted her perspective. Inspired, Rimi joined Kasumi and Arisa onstage, conquered her fear, and became Poppin'Party’s bassist. She composes many band songs and approaches academics and personal challenges with equal dedication.
Standing 150 cm tall—Poppin'Party's shortest member—Rimi desires greater height. Her black hair features chin-length cuts, looped side sections, and straight bangs. Downward-slanting brown-red eyes distinguish her from sharp-eyed Yuri. Outfits evolve seasonally: an early pink floral dress with ballet shoes, later a pink sweater over a white blouse paired with Mary Jane shoes.
She adores chocolate, meat, whipped cream, and especially Yamabuki Bakery's chocolate cornets, but detests mint chocolate. Hobbies include video games and consuming horror media—ghosts, zombies, supernatural themes—though she avoids haunted houses. Beyond the band, she befriends Misaki Okusawa and Himari Uehara. With Himari, she admires Kaoru Seta and attends Drama Club rehearsals. In the Girl's Blossom Project spin-off, Rimi appears as their classmate, tracking bakery schedules and sharing Kaoru fandom.
Her family owns a chocolate fountain; she once co-wrote a chocolate cornet song with Yuri. She addresses all Poppin'Party members with "-chan" and launched a sweets-review blog at Himari's suggestion. Crossover events reference Uiharu Kazari and Higashiyama Kobeni. An alternate storyline depicts her as a cheeky, rice-selling ninja who rejected Kasumi’s band for not being "Japan's greatest."
