Description
Hanazono Tae is the lead guitarist for Poppin'Party and attends Hanasakigawa Girls' High School, progressing from first-year to third-year status. Her bandmates call her "O-Tae." She lives with her parents and cares for 20 pet rabbits. She nicknamed one rabbit "Odd-Eye" (or "Occhan") and calls it her "boyfriend." This deep affection for rabbits influences her behavior, causing her to daydream about them during conversations, compare friends like Rimi and Arisa to rabbits, and avoid eating rabbit-shaped foods. She later develops a hobby of knitting outfits for her rabbits. Her other interests include hamburger steak, visiting pet shops and music stores, and photographing rabbit-themed objects.
Physically, Tae has gentle green eyes and waist-length dark brown hair with choppy bangs, including a distinctive section covering her right ear. Her casual attire blends mature and feminine styles with sheer fabrics and gem accents. Seasonal variations include winter wear featuring a pink sweater with shoulder cutouts and a black choker, and summer outfits of a mint-green floral T-shirt with high-waisted white pants. Standing 164 cm tall, she is Poppin'Party's tallest member.
Tae started playing guitar in elementary school, developing considerable skill. She began working part-time at live houses like SPACE and instrument stores in her second year of high school, eventually managing a music shop after coworkers quit post-graduation. Her blue guitar, the ESP Snapper, was purchased with her savings; ESP Guitars produced a real-life replica.
Her personality combines a relaxed, airheaded demeanor with unexpected perceptiveness, especially regarding music. She lives at her own pace, often making bizarre or surprising remarks with a straight face. Though initially skeptical of Kasumi’s band ambitions due to skill concerns, she became Poppin'Party's fourth member after experiencing the joy of performing with them, later calling the members her "first real friends." Despite being childhood friends with Rei (LAYER from RAISE A SUILEN) and attending music school with Rei and Arisa, she distinguishes this relationship from her deeper bond with Poppin'Party due to their prolonged separation.
In the "Garupa Pico" spin-off, her traits are amplified for comedy, such as proposing to bring rabbits onstage during a low-attendance concert and unintentionally causing Rimi to nightmare about transforming into a chocolate cornet after joking about her snack obsession. Her tendency to blend words, like coining "Rosepa" from Roselia and Poppin'Party, and her use of "puppy eyes" to persuade others are recurring quirks.
Her development includes briefly serving as RAISE A SUILEN’s initial lead guitarist before Rokka Asahi replaced her. Additional facets appear through collaborations, such as adopting Saten Ruiko’s design from "A Certain Scientific Railgun T" and expressing admiration for the fictional guitarist Mortin.
