Description
Bred from childhood to command Alvis, Tatsumiya Island's defense organization, Soushi Minashiro endured an isolated upbringing. He alone among the island's children knew the truth about the Festum invasion and humanity's devastation, contributing to social awkwardness often perceived as coldness. His physical characteristics include brown hair that turned greyish over time and a distinctive scar over his left eye from a childhood incident involving Kazuki Makabe.

Impaired vision prevented Soushi from piloting Fafners. Instead, he served as a tactician, using the Siegfried System to mentally coordinate pilots during combat. His relationship with Kazuki Makabe was central, evolving from childhood friendship to estrangement after the eye injury, then to renewed reliance during Festum attacks where Soushi convinced Kazuki to pilot the Mark Elf. Assimilated by Festum during the original series, Soushi reappeared reborn within the cockpit of Mark Nicht during the events of Exodus, discovered by Kazuki, Kouyou Kasugai, and Misao Kurusu amidst green crystals.

In the Heaven and Earth timeline, Soushi sent the enigmatic Misao Kurusu to Tatsumiya Island via an unmanned submarine, reigniting hostilities between humanity and Festum. The reborn Soushi later appeared with Kazuki two years post-assimilation, contemplating the sea and expressing curiosity about the world beyond it.

During The Beyond, Soushi appeared as a child evacuated by Maris Excelsior during seismic disturbances; Maris calmed him to sleep before their escape via rocket. Three years later, as a young adult on an island resembling Tatsumiyajima, his persistent curiosity about the outside world led him to secretly use a radio against Maris' warnings. This action triggered contact with an external entity who promised to show him "the truth." Meeting this figure during a festival, Soushi recognized him from earlier dreams before Kazuki intervened, revealing nearby citizens as Festum. Witnessing Kazuki disintegrate a Festum imitation of his sister Tsubaki solidified Soushi's declaration that he would kill Kazuki.

The original Soushi's spectral presence manifested in The Beyond, briefly hugging his reincarnated self and transferring the eye scar before vanishing. His name meaning "general officer" and surname meaning "all/everybody's castle" reflected his protective role for the island community.
