Description
Kaori Kanzaki, born Supreme Pontiff of the Amakusa-Style Remix of Church due to her Saint status, possesses innate luck that guaranteed her own success while bringing misfortune to others. This burden led her to reject the Amakusa and join Necessarius, the Anglican Church's special forces. Within Necessarius, she formed friendships with Index and Stiyl Magnus. Guilt stemming from the suffering of her former followers and her role in Index's annual memory erasures contributed to her initially cold, taciturn personality. She later returned to lead the Amakusa after their integration into Necessarius.

Physically, she stands between 170–175 cm tall with long black hair usually secured in a hip-length ponytail. Her attire features a knotted white T-shirt revealing her navel, asymmetrically modified dark blue jeans, and a denim jacket in later stories. She wields the nodachi "Shichiten Shichitou" (Seven Heavens Sword), with her outfit's asymmetry enhancing a spell for balance and mobility. At the Necessarius dormitories, she wears a flower-patterned yukata.

Her personality blends stoicism with compassion. Initially projecting an "ice queen" demeanor, she avoids killing humans or divine beings like the archangel Gabriel, believing she "cannot" rather than "will not" take life. Meeting Kamijou Touma prompted a gradual softening, revealing gratitude, occasional embarrassment, and a broader emotional range. Outside combat, she embodies the "Yamato Nadeshiko" ideal of a graceful Japanese woman, but adopts samurai-like speech when serious. Naivety regarding sexuality contrasts with Tsuchimikado Motoharu's teasing, which frequently stresses her enough to perform a calming ritual of stacking and karate-chopping tiles. She also exhibits technological incompetence, particularly with appliances like washing machines, which she anthropomorphizes as a "friend" worth saving during emergencies.

Her abilities center on her Saint physiology, granting superhuman attributes via the "Stigma" to channel divine power. Her magic name, "Salvare000" ("Be the salvation of those who cannot be saved"), reflects her combat philosophy. Ranked among London's top 10 magicians, she specializes in physical enhancement and hybrid magic drawing from Christian, Shinto, and Buddhist traditions. Key techniques include:
- **Nanasen (Seven Flashes)**: Deploys seven wires that multiply to cut targets.
- **Yuisan (Single Flash)**: A sword strike infused with magic to harm angels, reserved for lethal situations.
- **Wire-based spells**: Uses wires as 3D magic circles for barriers like "Boundary of Forbidden Wires" or elemental attacks (e.g., fire spells).
- **Support magic**: Includes healing enchantments, St. Peter's Interception Spell to ground airborne foes, and Opila runes to exclude civilians from battlefields.

During *The Miracle of Endymion*, she assisted Touma and Index with incidents tied to the Endymion space elevator. She aided Stiyl Magnus against magicians targeting singer Arisa Meigo, whom Kanzaki suspected might be a Saint. Later, she helped Touma and Index reach space to confront the antagonist Ladylee Tangleroad, contributing to resolving the crisis.
