Description
Awaki Musujime is a Level 4 teleportation esper first appearing as an antagonist with the science-oriented Asociacion de Ciencia. She later operates under coercion for Academy City's dark side. Her past includes attending Kirigaoka Girls' Academy, where a traumatic teleportation accident in her youth caused severe injuries and instilled a deep psychological aversion to self-teleportation. This event cemented her belief that esper abilities are inherently dangerous, motivating her quest to prove animals could develop similar powers – the reason for her betrayal during the Tree Diagram Remnant retrieval.

Physically, she possesses long dark red hair tied in two low ponytails. She typically wears her school jacket draped like a cape over minimal attire, such as a pink crop top or sarashi bandages, paired with a pleated skirt. To aid in targeting her ability, Move Point, she carries a military flashlight. Move Point allows her to teleport objects weighing up to 4,520 kg within an 800-meter range without direct contact, significantly exceeding Shirai Kuroko's capabilities.

Her personality combines pragmatism with underlying compassion. She acts efficiently and ruthlessly in missions, preferring to make opponents suffer but avoiding killing unless essential. She shows fierce loyalty to comrades who helped her during the Tree Diagram Remnant incident. Following her defeat by Accelerator, Academy City's Board of Directors blackmailed her by holding her friends hostage, forcing her into the dark-side organization GROUP. Within GROUP, she exhibits a complex dynamic, sparing adversaries like the mercenary attacking her comrades and Megumi Teshio during the Battle Royale arc, revealing a merciful streak. Trauma resurfaces when she encounters injuries reminiscent of her accident, causing visceral reactions, though she eventually overcomes this aversion by October 9.

Her development stems from forced cooperation with GROUP and living with Komoe Tsukuyomi, whose kindness softens her worldview. She develops appreciation for Komoe's care despite her dark-side activities. Relationships within GROUP involve tense but cooperative interactions, notably with Accelerator, whom she mockingly calls "husband." Teammates label her a "shotacon" due to her implied attraction to younger boys, a trait she never denies.

Chronologically, after her defeat in the Tree Diagram Remnant arc, she participates in GROUP operations, including dismantling Skill-Out's resources and investigating dark-side factions during the Battle Royale arc. A pivotal moment occurs confronting Megumi Teshio, where she pushes through trauma-induced teleportation sickness to protect friends. Following World War III, GROUP disbands, freeing her from Academy City's control. Later appearances include cameos in spin-offs like A Certain Scientific Railgun and involvement in Operation Handcuffs, collaborating with Anti-Skill to dismantle dark-side remnants.
