Description
Anna Kushina, the youngest and sole female member of the Homra clan, possesses long white hair, striking red eyes, and pale skin, standing 140 cm tall. Her signature Japanese Gothic Lolita attire features a layered black-and-red dress with ruffled sleeves and skirt, complemented by a matching shawl, white stockings, and red Mary Jane shoes. An early miniature top hat accessory was later replaced by a hooded shawl fastened with a red gemmed bow. The Homra insignia resides within her left eye.

Born December 8, 2001, Anna endured childhood trauma when her parents, Ayuri and Tetsuya Kushina, perished in an accident. Her aunt, Honami Kushina, a former teacher to Homra leaders Mikoto Suoh and Izumo Kusanagi, became her guardian. During this period, Anna rarely spoke and wore blue dresses. Honami frequently brought her to Bar Homra, where Anna formed a distinct connection to Mikoto Suoh; her monochromatic vision perceives only the color red, and Mikoto's aura burned brightest for her.

Anna's abilities emerged under duress. Using red marbles formed from her blood as catalysts, she gained clairvoyance, mind-reading, and location-tracking. Without the marbles, her vision remains limited to red hues. Intense emotions can involuntarily project physical sensations—burning, choking, or drowning—onto others. Consequently, Anna suppresses strong feelings to protect those around her.

Kōshi Mizuchi, a Gold clansman, once threatened Honami's life to force Anna back to the Nanakamado Chemotherapy Research Center. There, Mizuchi tortured her—burning, choking, and near-drowning—in failed attempts to synchronize her with the Dresden Slate and appoint her Blue King. Homra intervened, rescuing Anna and apprehending Mizuchi, though the ordeal erased Honami's memories of her niece. Homra adopted Anna. Her ruined dress was temporarily replaced by Kusanagi's shirt before she chose her iconic red Gothic Lolita style.

Within the boisterous Homra clan, Anna maintained a reserved presence, observing rather than directly participating. She occasionally used her marbles to assist, revealing internal conflicts or locating individuals. She shared a profound bond with Mikoto, describing his presence as "the only warm place." After Tatara Totsuka’s death, she sensed Mikoto's deteriorating control over his powers and mourned his eventual death at Reisi Munakata’s hands. Despite Mikoto's initial reluctance, he entrusted her with Homra’s future.

Following Mikoto's death, Anna ascended as the new Red King. Her leadership evolved, balancing her gentle nature with the clan's fiery spirit. She harbored lingering resentment toward Munakata for killing Mikoto, contrasting with her trust in the Silver King, whose actions indirectly contributed to Mikoto's downfall. As king, she prioritized protecting her clan and honoring Mikoto’s legacy with quiet resolve.

In later depictions, such as "Gakuen K," Anna is portrayed at age 29. Her core traits—emotional restraint, unwavering loyalty to Homra, and reliance on her marbles—persist throughout her journey.
