Description
Adolf K. Weismann began as a German researcher in World War II-era Dresden, experimenting with the Dresden Slate. His demonstrations on albino mice triggered potent Aura manifestations and created Swords of Damocles. Opposed to militarization, he believed the Slate could foster happiness. The Dresden bombing killed his sister Klaudia, an event awakening his Silver King powers and summoning his hovering Sword of Damocles. Consumed by grief, he retreated from the world by boarding the airship Himmelreich, declaring the war over for himself.
Decades later, the Colorless King visited Weismann aboard the Himmelreich. After a brief conversation, the Colorless King attacked, forcibly ejecting Weismann's consciousness from his original body. Weismann awoke inhabiting the body of a Japanese teenager later known as Yashiro Isana. During the body swap, he plunged hundreds of feet from the airship, crashing through Ashinaka High School's gymnasium roof. The impact left him unharmed due to his immortality but induced amnesia. A stray cat (the Strain Neko) approached him; her sensory interference abilities inadvertently altered perceptions, convincing the school he was classmate Yashiro Isana. He adopted this identity, accepting the fabricated background of a transfer student studying independently at Ashinaka.
As Yashiro, he displayed a carefree, charismatic personality, easily befriending humans, animals, and robots. He frequently requested food, favoring plain rice, and showed a trickster streak, fabricating a story about a hospitalized younger sister to evade Kuroh Yatogami – who initially sought to kill him under suspicion of murder. Yashiro carried a distinctive red Japanese parasol and favored elevated spaces like rooftops and bridges. Despite amnesia, core traits endured: optimism, kindness, and a tendency to trust strangers – a vulnerability linked to his original downfall.
Pursued by factions like HOMRA and Scepter 4 for Tatara Totsuka's murder – implicated via a manipulated video – Yashiro allied with Kuroh and Neko to prove his innocence, forming the nucleus of the Silver Clan (White Rice Party). During the conflict, Yashiro regained fragmented memories and confirmed his identity as Weismann after a near-fatal incident. He confronted the Colorless King possessing his original body and, aided by Red King Mikoto Suoh, defeated the antagonist. The clash seemingly destroyed Yashiro's borrowed body, leaving only his parasol, but his immortality facilitated regeneration within the Schattenreich, a subspace linked to his powers. He later wore a tailored version of his original German-era suit.
In subsequent events, Weismann opposed the Green Clan (Jungle) and the Gray King. He orchestrated the Dresden Slate's destruction using "Weismann's Down," an ability tied to his Sword of Damocles. This act returned his soul to his original body, now bearing shorter silver hair. Post-conflict, he reintegrated into society as a teacher at Ashinaka High School, maintaining connections with Kuroh and Neko, who became a student there.
