Description
Haruka Tenoh is the civilian identity of Sailor Uranus, a Sailor Guardian who first appears in the third season of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal. As one of the four Outer Sailor Guardians, alongside Sailor Neptune, Sailor Pluto, and Sailor Saturn, her primary duty is to protect the solar system from threats that emerge from beyond its borders.
Haruka is a sixteen-year-old student who attends the prestigious Mugen Academy, a school for genius students that she and Michiru Kaioh infiltrate to investigate the strange occurrences happening there. She and Michiru live a life of wealth, supported by unnamed wealthy benefactors, and Haruka is a professional race car driver who owns a sports car, a motorcycle, and even a helicopter named the Tenoumaru. In her civilian life, she is an exceptional athlete, a talented pianist, and enjoys playing racing video games.
Physically, Haruka is tall and has short, light blond hair. She often wears masculine clothing, including the male uniform at Mugen Academy, which leads many characters to initially mistake her for a boy. Her personality is pragmatic, strong-willed, and at times, seemingly cold and ruthless. Unlike the Inner Guardians, Haruka and her partner Michiru believe in accepting necessary sacrifices for the greater good and are willing to make difficult, morally ambiguous decisions to fulfill their mission. Haruka projects an image of confidence and toughness, but she is deeply affected by the harsh realities of her duty and struggles with the weight of the actions she feels she must take.
Before awakening as a Sailor Guardian, Haruka felt aimless in life. She initially resisted her fate but came to accept her mission, though her outlook gradually became more hardened and less idealistic. Her primary motivation is to prevent the destruction of the world, a goal she pursues with a fierce, single-minded dedication that puts her at odds with Sailor Moon's more idealistic and merciful approach.

Along with Setsuna Meioh, they form the core of the Outer Guardians. At the end of the Infinity arc, after Hotaru Tomoe is reborn as a baby, Haruka, Michiru, and Setsuna take on the role of her adoptive family, with Haruka being affectionately called "Haruka-papa". Her relationship with Sailor Moon evolves from initial distrust and conflict to a deep bond of mutual respect and friendship, as she comes to recognize the princess's strength and conviction.
