Helios began as a Pyrus Bakugan before adopting the Darkus attribute. He served as Spectra Phantom's primary partner Bakugan within the antagonistic Vexos organization. Initially known as Viper Helios, he proved formidable in combat, capturing Blade Tigrerra for petrification by Prince Hydron and defeating opponents like Vulcan and Hylash. His relentless pursuit of power drove him to accept voluntary cybernetic enhancements from Professor Clay, evolving him into Cyber Helios. This form granted him the FARBAS (Fully Automatic Reaction Battle System), enabling damage recovery, power equalization, and temporary ability nullification against opponents. As Cyber Helios, he engaged the Resistance, effortlessly defeating Wilda and Balaton and battling Neo Dragonoid to a standstill, remaining undefeated. Seeking further supremacy, he upgraded to Helios MK2. This form featured advanced weaponry: a detachable rocket arm, a concealed chest laser (Ragnarok Cannon), and compatibility with Battle Gear like Twin Destructor and Zukanator. The maximized Twin Destructor demonstrated planet-damaging potential, calculated at 31 zettatons of TNT. Despite these enhancements, Helios MK2 suffered defeats against Cross Dragonoid and later Helix Dragonoid in their final clash. This pivotal loss led him to acknowledge Drago as the true ultimate Bakugan, catalyzing his redemption. Helios and Spectra subsequently defected from the Vexos and joined the Resistance. They collaborated to thwart King Zenoheld's Alternative Weapon System, with Helios damaging the system using Zukanator and aiding Drago against Assail Farbros. After Zenoheld's defeat, Helios evolved into Darkus Infinity Helios. He continued assisting Drago during the Mechtanium Surge conflicts, foiling Chaos Bakugan incursions in Bakugan Interspace and collaborating with Vulcan against Mechtogan clones. His capabilities expanded to include mutation with Drago, forming a combined entity to counter threats like Razenoid clones. He participated in the final confrontation against Mag Mel and Razenoid, celebrating their defeat alongside Drago. Throughout his development, Helios transitioned from a power-obsessed antagonist to a strategic ally. Key traits included initial arrogance and combat-focused ruthlessness, later tempered by loyalty to Spectra and respect for Drago. His signature abilities encompassed energy-based attacks like General Quasar and Chaos Boost Cannon, alongside evolving FARBAS iterations that provided healing, power negation, and immunity to opposing abilities. His partnership with Spectra remained central, and his acceptance of Drago's superiority marked his full integration into the heroic faction.
