Description
Emile, the Fourth Prince and third son of the current Phoenix monarch, possesses blonde hair and scarlet eyes with slitted pupils, consistently dressed in a decorative white shirt, black formal pants, and dress shoes. Quiet and reserved, he rarely displays emotion but demonstrates genuine care for vulnerable individuals and his vassals. Emile strongly opposes violence and warfare, prioritizing knowledge and utilizing his extraordinary psychokinetic abilities solely for protection. This power allows him to repel enemies or inflict damage through eye contact but severely strains his chronic illness, acting as a natural limiter. Following death, he gains control over Sacred Royal Flames.

Several vassals serve him: the android Flanders, the werewolf Keziah Bold (whom Emile views as a true warrior), the bird-man Sledge (considered his most loyal servant), and Madeleine, whom he resurrected as his Blood Warrior after saving her on a ghost cruise. His story involvement begins when he rescues and resurrects a mermaid. He later acts as a witness during the duel between his sister Hime and their brother Severin, subtly indicating support for Hime. While traveling by train, Emile faces an attack from his elder brother Gilliam, who perceives his psychokinesis as a significant threat. During this confrontation, the Professor allies with Emile, believing him uniquely capable of countering the telekinetic royal Fuhito. Emile repels Gilliam using his powers, but the overexertion critically aggravates his illness.

He ultimately succumbs to his chronic condition, compounded by the battle with Gilliam. Hoping to preserve his master, Sledge kills the dying Emile and requests their sister Sylvia to resurrect him. This only creates an empty vessel controlled by Sylvia, as Emile's spirit departs. Sylvia subsequently uses this vessel as her Blood Warrior. In this state, the vessel attacks Sledge and later attempts to kill Hime; Keziah sacrifices himself to intercept the attack.

Emile's spirit returns in phoenix-flame form during the "Princess Ignition" arc, rescuing Hime and their younger sister Sherwood from giant centipedes. He instructs Sherwood to continue supporting Hime and directly tells Hime, "Lilianne, become the ruler," revealing his true motivation for seeking the throne: to find a way for all royal siblings to survive the succession conflict. His spirit also resurrects Keziah as a flame warrior. Emile's death occurs before he can confront Fuhito, and his ideals ultimately shape Hime's path.

Emile shares complex relationships with his siblings. Early interactions with Hime suggest hostility, but his actions reveal deep care and trust, culminating in entrusting her with the future rulership. He addresses Sherwood affectionately as "my cute little sister." Sylvia resurrects his body after his death. Gilliam relentlessly pursues Emile due to perceived threats from his powers. Emile's connection to the Monster World and his status as the most gifted sibling are noted. His distant relatives include Fuhito and Duken.
