Description
Miyagi is a supporting character in the anime Megalobox. He serves as the second and coach for the Megalo boxer Tatsumi Aragaki, who fought under the tutelage of Gansaku Nanbu before Nanbu later trained Joe. Miyagi is also a member of the Veterans' Association, an organization that supports former soldiers. His primary role in the story is to stand by Aragaki, who returned from war physically and mentally broken, providing him with guidance and encouragement. Miyagi’s personality is defined by loyalty and a quiet dedication to his charge; he acts as a stabilizing presence in Aragaki’s corner. His motivations center on helping Aragaki find purpose and redemption through Megalo boxing, even when the odds are against them. In the narrative, Miyagi appears during Aragaki’s pivotal match against Joe, reinforcing the theme of individuals supporting one another in a harsh world. While not a fighter himself, his notable ability lies in his tactical advice and emotional support, which proves crucial to Aragaki’s performance. Miyagi does not undergo significant personal development in the series, but his unwavering commitment underscores his importance as a secondary character who embodies camaraderie and resilience.
