This led Adele to dedicate herself to mastering magic, though her inability to reveal her plan causes Agnès to misinterpret her actions as cold allegiance. Adele pursues the crucial Ring of Arcana, burns the GeGeGe Forest with incendiary stones, and clashes with Kitarō. After Backbeard deems her power insufficient and attacks her, a severely injured Adele gives a multicolored healing stone to restore Kitarō’s spiritual power. She sacrifices herself to remove the Ring of Arcana from Agnès’s finger, halting Backbeard. Adele survives, recuperates in the GeGeGe Forest, pays respects at Miminaga’s grave, and reconciles with Agnès, traveling the world together. She later returns to aid Kitarō’s allies, such as helping defeat Kyubi no Kitsune.
