Description
Victor Frankenstein manifests as a Western Yōkai within the 2018 *GeGeGe no Kitarō* anime. Serving in Backbeard's army, his appearance is marked by pale green skin adorned with light purple stitched patches. He possesses vibrant violet hair, heterochromatic eyes (left green with a yellow pupil, right purple with a small yellow pupil), stitch marks over his right eye, and a perpetual grin. His attire consists of a tattered lab coat over a black vest and white shirt, black shorts, olive green rain boots, a red bow tie, white gloves, and circular glasses. Provocation to tears triggers a physical transformation: he becomes larger and muscular, his skin darkens to green with exposed purple patches, and his clothing reduces to a sleeveless lab coat and tattered shorts.

His personality blends extreme eccentricity with cruelty and fierce loyalty to Backbeard. He exhibits unpredictable mood swings, frequently abandoning missions if distracted by more captivating interests. Vanity drives him, leading him to deem himself superior to fellow Western Yōkai like Wolfgang and Carmilla. His transformed state diminishes his intellect, leaving him a rage-driven brute governed by instinct.

Throughout the 2018 anime, Victor participates in Backbeard's invasion of Japan to retrieve Agnès and the Ring of Arcana. He creates artificial monsters, including a lion-like creature deployed against forest yōkai, and displays perverse excitement when his creations are destroyed by the Ring's power. In later missions, he attempts to capture Agnès and subsequently becomes infatuated with the human girl Mana after meeting her in Japan. Following her rejection, he transforms, abducts her, and flees until Agnès intervenes, causing him to fall from a skyscraper; Adél then teleports him to safety. He later tracks the Ring of Arcana to Hakusanbō's domain and Chōfu, leading Backbeard's forces in pursuit of Mana. During the Brigadoon Project, he battles Nurikabe and Sunakake-Babaa in his transformed state before immobilization. After Backbeard's initial defeat, he attempts unsuccessfully to resurrect his master at Backbeard Castle and later witnesses Backbeard's return using energy from Mount Fuji.

His abilities encompass creating artificial monsters rivaling natural-born yōkai in strength and wielding devices like the Shock Blaster (firing stunning or lethal energy blasts) and the Hand Mouth (a glove-mounted device with an extendable tongue). He also constructs makeshift firearms, such as a handmade machine gun. His transformation grants enhanced physical attributes: strength sufficient to crack concrete with a punch, high leaping capabilities, and durability against magical attacks. He utilizes Adél's Magic Stone for long-distance communication with allies.
