Description
Kaguya, also known as Princess Kaguya or the Moon Empress, stands as the second major antagonist of the series and serves as the final villain in the original anime adaptation. Her character draws loose inspiration from the princess of the same name in the Japanese folktale The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. She is the ruler of the moon and the empress of a race of anthropomorphic rabbit people who reside there. Unlike her subjects, who appear as humanoid rabbits, Kaguya looks like a human woman. Her appearance is notable for its direct reference to the Playboy bunny, as she wears a strapless outfit with a bow tie, bunny ears, and other similar accessories. She has long black hair with a hime cut, brown eyes, and possesses a mature and powerful physique.
Having lived for over a thousand years, Kaguya is a being of immense age and power. Her primary motivation is to maintain her own youth and beauty, which she is able to do by absorbing the life essence of others.
