Description
Vita is a centuries-old member of the Wolkenritter, magical guardians forged by the Book of Darkness in the Ancient Belkan Era. She retains the physical appearance of a young red-haired girl, often with her hair in twin queues. Formally titled the "Knight of the Iron Hammer" and occasionally called the "Crimson Iron Rider" by the Book itself, she wields the intelligent hammer device Graf Eisen as her primary weapon and partner.

Initially fiercely dedicated to protecting her mistress, Hayate Yagami, Vita participates in the Wolkenritter's mission to gather Linker Cores, believing it will save Hayate from the Book's drain. Targeting Nanoha Takamachi, whom she dismissively nicknames "Nantoka," Vita gradually develops mutual respect for her opponent, recognizing their shared commitment to protecting others. This culminates in Vita fighting alongside Nanoha and Fate Testarossa against the Book's defense program, acknowledging Nanoha as an equal.

After the Book of Darkness incident, Vita joins the Time-Space Administration Bureau (TSAB) in May 0066 as a Special Investigator Assistant. She rises through the ranks, becoming a 3rd Air Captain in Riot Force 6 and later a 2nd Air Captain by ViVid. Her role evolves into Tactics Teacher, training recruits under Nanoha and Hayate. Roughly two years after joining the TSAB, Vita notices but ignores signs of Nanoha's strain during a drone engagement, leading to Nanoha's severe injury—a failure that haunts Vita and intensifies her protective instincts towards comrades.

Hot-tempered and stubborn, Vita's unwavering loyalty to Hayate extends to Nanoha after this incident, marking her journey from adversary to trusted ally. During the JS Incident in 0075, as Sub-Commander of Riot Force 6's Forward Stars unit, she participates in critical battles. Assaulting the Saint's Cradle, Vita sustains life-threatening injuries while destroying the ship's main reactor using Graf Eisen's Zerstörungshammer form, sacrificing herself to protect Hayate and Nanoha and apologizing for perceived failures even as she succeeds.

Following Riot Force 6's dissolution in 0076, Vita becomes a Tactics Instructor alongside Nanoha in the Aerial Tactical Instructor Corps. Residing with the Yagami family, she appears in domestic settings and attends events like the Intermiddle Championship in ViVid. A special ViVid chapter explores her past as a Wolkenritter and connections to ancient Belkan emperors. Despite her age, she occasionally uses transformation magic to appear older, particularly with elderly croquet partners in Uminari City.

Magically specializing in the Ancient Belka system with an AAA+ aerial combat rating, Vita employs Graf Eisen in multiple forms: Hammerform (standard), Raketenform (rocket-propelled assault), Gigantform (enlarged), and Zerstörungform (drill-tipped destruction). Her defenses include Panzer Schild (directional shield) and Panzer Hindernis (dome barrier), while offensive techniques feature Schwalbefliegen (homing projectiles) and Kometen Fliegen (enhanced strikes). Mobility spells like Pferde provide speed bursts, and she uses group transformation magic with fellow knights.
