Description
Mayu pilots an escape from a war-ravaged planet with a young companion, Daichi Meguru. Their mission targets the legendary Arei's Mirror, rumored to unlock cosmic realms beyond the universe's edge. Mid-voyage, an android stowaway named Zero infiltrates their spacecraft. Initial tensions give way to alliance when the trio discovers their shared goal of reaching the mirror.

The narrative charts Mayu navigating perilous war-torn cityscapes and cosmic frontiers. Early sequences place her in a late-night dance club before surviving a massive terrorist attack in an urban center. Her trajectory advances as she traverses Halley's Mirror alongside Daichi and Zero, bound for the planet Arei in pursuit of truth and uncharted territories.

Throughout the journey, Mayu faces philosophical challenges concerning humanity's violent essence. These include Zero's arguments about human destructiveness and broader cosmic debates questioning whether war-driven beings merit entry into pristine dimensions. Their quest converges at the mirror's location, where abstract early 3D computer graphics sequences portray their transition into the fabled "Virgin Space".
