Rugis F. Camellia holds the title of Grand Duke of Camellia. He bears long ash brown hair, golden eyes, and a distinctive facial scar on his right cheek. His attire combines metal armor with gold lining, a dark brown cape trimmed in fur, and a scarlet red cape. Rugis possesses the ability to shift into a werewolf; in this form, his head and tail sport dark brown fur while his body turns light gray. His personality blends innocence and bravery, earning deep respect from his subjects. Prior to his rebellion, Rugis served as a Temple Knight for the Kingdom of Hortensia alongside comrades Leon D. Olivier and Fernando Ober. On December 5th, 767, he ignited a revolt against Hortensia, slaughtering numerous heroes and assassinating its king. To fuel this uprising, he forged a pact with dark powers, gaining the ability to transform into a giant werewolf. After overthrowing Hortensia, he formally declared Camellia's independence, cementing his role as the narrative's primary antagonist.
