Description
Chihiro Uomi, nicknamed "Womi" or "Womin," is the Student Council President at Eiryou High School. Her full name was revealed in Chapter 416 of the manga. She has black hair styled in twin tails, empty-looking dark eyes, and a notably large bust. Uomi typically wears her school uniform: a white blouse with a red necktie over a light blue sweater and a dark blue skirt. For formal events, she sometimes replaces the sweater with a dark blue blazer.
Maintaining a calm and polite demeanor, Uomi rarely shows anger or raises her voice. Despite this reserve, she frequently makes lewd jokes, often targeting Takatoshi Tsuda, whom she consistently pursues romantically. Unlike Shino Amakusa, Uomi openly expresses her feelings. After discovering a familial link to Takatoshi and his sister Kotomi Tsuda through their cousins' marriage, she insists they call her "Onee-chan" (big sister), while she calls them "Taka-kun" and "Kotomi-chan." She actively courts Takatoshi by visiting his home, cooking for him, and proposing marriage, sometimes sparking jealousy in others.
Her initial encounter with Ousai Academy happened during a school exchange, where she and Shino exchanged contact details, admiring each other's student council work. Uomi later participated in Ousai's Cultural Festival as a substitute for Eiryou’s softball team. She integrates into Ousai’s social group, joining activities like hot spring trips and inviting members to Eiryou’s Cultural Festival. She shares a close bond with Suzu Hagimura, often greeting her with hugs despite Suzu's reluctance.
Uomi struggles with public speaking and occasionally uses a childlike greeting style, contrasting her usual composure. Her vice president, Mori, often acts as her "tsukkomi" (straight man). An OVA shows her working part-time at a fast-food restaurant. A recurring gag involves her phone number, 8008135, which spells "BOOBIES." Her surname, Uomi, combines "fish" (魚) and "to see/watch" (見). She addresses Takatoshi and Kotomi’s mother as "Okaa-san" (mother-in-law), emphasizing her claimed familial ties.
In the manga, Uomi once jokingly revealed her first name as "Christina" before confirming it as "Chihiro." During a movie storyline, she invited Takatoshi to transfer schools, though it was later clarified she had actually proposed marriage. Her character development shows deepening relationships with the Ousai group, especially Takatoshi, and embracing a more outgoing personality despite previously considering herself unsociable and emotionless before high school.
Uomi's theme music accompanies her appearances. Her interactions feature deadpan delivery of provocative humor, contrasting with Shino’s expressiveness yet aligning with their shared comedic dynamic.
