Description
Yukiko Kanzaki attends Kunugigaoka Junior High School in Class 3-E. Originating from a conservative, high-class family, her father leads a law firm and imposed strict expectations for her to become an ideal traditional woman. Her mother works at the same firm, and she has an earnest older brother with a noted mother complex. Pressured to conform, Yukiko rebelled by skipping studies and frequenting arcades. This caused her grades—particularly in chemistry—to decline, resulting in her transfer to Class E.

Her personality blends grace, refinement, and diligence with a calm, kind demeanor. Her composed exterior masks strong resilience and a willingness to assert herself, often while maintaining a smile. This duality stems from her family background, where arcade visits represented a hidden rebellious streak. Classmates regard her as the "class idol" due to her beauty, making her the most popular girl among the boys, though some female peers like Okano maintain a frostier relationship. She prefers avoiding the spotlight and is closer to quieter classmates such as Kaede Kayano and Manami Okuda, with Kayano being the only one privy to her full backstory.

Physically, Yukiko possesses long, straight black hair, light brown eyes, light skin, and stands 159 cm (5'2.5"-5'3"). She adheres strictly to the school uniform, though during her rebellious phase, she briefly dyed her hair dark brown at the tips and adopted more provocative clothing. Her beauty inadvertently attracts unwanted male attention, leading to occasional uncomfortable situations.

Academically, she excels in Japanese literature, ranking second schoolwide, while chemistry remains her least favorite subject. Her arcade proficiency, especially in danmaku, rhythm games like Dance Dance Revolution, and online shooters, earned her the codename "Grandmaster Kanzaki" and the feared online alias "Yukiko" (written with kanji for "demon"). These gaming skills translate directly to tactical assassination abilities; she effectively leverages flanking strategies from virtual battlefields in real missions. She ranks fifth in marksmanship among female classmates, specializing in short-range weaponry with a recorded score of 73/200. Her combat stats include high long-range assassination (4/5) and characteristic gaming mastery (5/5), though close-range combat is a weaker area (1.5/5).

In relationships, Tomohito Sugino holds romantic interest in her, but Yukiko views him solely as a dependable friend, giving obligatory Valentine's chocolates without reciprocal feelings. She feels comfortable around Nagisa Shiota, though non-romantically, and respects Kayano’s secret feelings for him. Her caregiving instinct, developed while tending to her late grandmother, motivates her career goal in nursing.

Post-graduation, she works as a nurse at a residential home for the elderly, reflecting her commitment to caregiving. This role embodies her rejection of familial expectations and her choice to define her own path.
