Description
Gramps, Coco's grandfather, observes her wearing a penguin costume and confronting bullies who declare penguins cannot fly. After witnessing her fall during a flight attempt, he shadows her unseen to ensure her safety. He trails Coco to a concealed store brimming with penguin merchandise, where he observes her encounter with the robotic cat Chaley. Gramps continues following as Coco and Chaley journey to the goblins' fantasy realm.
Within this realm, he remains hidden while the goblins reveal their struggle against Buccaboo and his henchman Zammie. He silently monitors Coco’s investigation into Buccaboo’s motives and Zammie’s identity as a fallen angel. During the climax, Gramps aids Coco’s group in retrieving Zammie’s lost wing and defeating Buccaboo. He coordinates with deities represented by a statue from Coco’s world, channeling their power to assist the mission.
After Buccaboo’s defeat and Zammie’s ascension to heaven, Gramps accompanies Coco home. Upon their return, his likeness appears on the statue of deities in Coco’s world. Simultaneously, the Penguin Store vanishes, aligning with his integration into the statue.
