Description
Eclair Martinozzi is a 14-year-old female knight serving the Biscotti Republic in Flonyard. She leads the Biscotti Knights Praetorian Guards unit, reporting directly to her elder brother Rolan Martinozzi, commander of the Biscotti Knights. Her appearance features short green hair, blue eyes, drooping green animal ears, and a green tail. She feels insecure about her smaller, drooping ears, a trait opponents sometimes mock by calling her "Floppy Ear".

Trained in combat from early childhood, Eclair specializes in dual-sword wielding and javelins. Her combat style emphasizes agility, tactical precision, and maintaining composure against superior numbers. She is skilled in Flonyard’s Emblem Arts (Monshou Jutsu), using techniques like the Skycracking Cutter (烈空一文字) to slash energy blasts and the Skycracking Cross (列空十文字) to fire cross-shaped energy waves. She later manifests Bright Equipment, gaining abilities such as the Bright Ice Sword (光輪剣) and the Light Fang Vortex (烈閃光牙), an energy blast derived from D'Arquien’s Divine Destruction Fang capable of slaying demons. She also performs combination attacks like the Skycracking Double Cross (列空ダブル十文字) with Shinku Izumi.

Eclair possesses unwavering loyalty to Princess Millhiore, whom she deeply admires and would sacrifice her life to protect. Her personality is serious and stubborn, often acting as the straight man to counter Shinku Izumi’s unfamiliarity with Flonyard’s customs. Initial interactions with Shinku involve frustration and tsundere behavior, frequently chastising him. A pivotal moment occurs when she accidentally shares her first kiss with him, leading to acknowledged romantic feelings. She maintains a close friendship with childhood companions Ricotta "Rico" Elmar and Yuki.

Her background includes being assigned as Shinku’s combat instructor upon his summoning to Biscotti, teaching foundational techniques like the Seal Cannon (Monshouhou). Though initially doubting the need to summon a hero, she evolves to respect Shinku’s role. Her responsibilities expand to coordinating knight training and participating in joint exercises, reflecting her growing leadership and combat parity.

In "Dog Days'': Limone Resort Tenbou Onsen!", Eclair appears in the non-canon OVA episode set in a resort scenario, interacting within the group dynamics.
