Description
Paruko Nanana, a sixth-grade student at Aibo Academy, serves as a reporter for the school's Broadcast Club. She covers buddyfights live while riding her buddy monster, Martian UFO Takosuke, declaring her dedication with the catchphrase: "Wherever there's a buddyfight, Paruko Nanana will be there!" Her broadcasts display clear favoritism; she initially attributes Gao Mikado's victories over opponents like Rouga Aragami and Tasuku Ryuenji to sheer luck, mocking him as "king of the newbies" and "king of dumb luck."

She witnesses Rouga Aragami seemingly abduct Kiri Hyoryu, alerting Gao and his friends to Kiri's location at Sengoku Academy, later confirmed by Kiri himself. When Zanya claims the Purgatory Knight's identity, Paruko doubts him until Noboru removes the helmet, revealing Tasuku Ryuenji. She competes in the Gaen Cup with Team Goddess.

Her appearance evolves: early seasons feature hot pink hair, bright teal eyes, a yellow-and-white T-shirt with a lightning-bolt blue tie, red shorts, black leggings, a gray belt, a left-wrist watch, a right-wrist sweatband, yellow socks, and red-and-pink sneakers. By season six, she wears a white top, pastel pink skirt, and hot pink sandals.

In *Future Card Buddyfight Ace*, set 23 years after *X*, she marries Gao Mikado, adopts the surname Mikado, and has two sons, Yuga and Haru. During *Triple D*, she continues as a buddyfight reporter and commentator, performing the ending theme "Wakey☆Thump SHOOTER" for episodes 1–27. Her persistent presence across tournaments and storylines highlights her role in chronicling the buddyfighting world.
