Description
Feirune, originally Mirei Shinohara in her past life, was a popular high school student in Japan with a chin-length bob, slender figure, and signature bright pink nail polish. She held high social standing but harbored jealousy toward class "queen" Wakaba Hiiro, bullying her after an upperclassman’s romantic rejection favored Wakaba. Shinohara ceased bullying when friends Aiko Iijima and Kumiko Tonooka intervened, sensing Wakaba’s unsettling nature. She perished with her class in a physics-lesson explosion.

Reincarnated as an Earth Wyrm egg separated from her parents, delayed hatching occurred due to insufficient incubation magic. Discovered in the Great Elroe Labyrinth, the egg was gifted to Prince Shun and Princess Sue of Analeit Kingdom during their Appraisal Ceremony. Upon hatching, Shun named her "Feirune" ("Fei") after a video game location. Using telepathy from her Skill Encyclopedia, Fei revealed her identity to reincarnations Shun and Katia. Initially lizard-sized, she grew to a large dog’s size and larger via evolution. Her early form had dark blue upper-body skin, light yellow lower body, purple eyes, three small horns, and blue markings on her back, tail tip, and ears.

Enrolling at Analeit Royal Academy as Shun’s familiar, Fei hunted monsters to extend her limited lifespan. Contracted to Shun, she aided in battles—including defeating an Earth Wyrm during Hugo’s academy attack. When Shun inherited the Hero title after brother Julius’s death, Fei reverted to an egg, later hatching as a Light Wyrm. This evolution granted wings, flight, larger size (carrying Shun’s entire party), and a Humanification skill. Her humanoid form resembled an angel: pale skin, white hair, wings, residual scales/feathers, and partial retention of her original human appearance. She concealed wings with cloaks in settlements.

Personality-wise, Fei shifted from past pride and bullying to carefree empathy. She regretted tormenting Wakaba, especially upon learning of Wakaba’s apparent death in the new world, fueling her anti-harassment advocacy—demonstrated when defending Shun’s half-elf maid Anna from elf persecutors. As Shun’s familiar, she demanded his attention but maintained a non-romantic bond, teasing Katia about her crush. She respected reincarnated teacher Filimøs distantly and joyfully reunited with past-life friends Aiko and Kumiko at the Elf Village.

During the Elf Village battle (Volume 14), Fei defended an unconscious Shun and confronted Wakaba—revealed as god "D"—demanding answers about her survival. Wakaba dismissed the inquiry, and Wrath/Sophia forcibly escorted Fei’s group away under Wakaba’s orders. Post-battle, Fei sustained a long-term connection with Filimøs, both being longer-lived species.
