Akane Asahina is the class representative at Kunpō High School, where she strictly enforces school regulations and openly opposes Chizuru Minamoto’s romantic advances toward Kouta Oyamada within school grounds, which she considers inappropriate conduct. She maintains a generally amicable relationship with Kouta, often cautioning him against Chizuru’s influence out of genuine concern for his well-being. Her interactions with Tayura Minamoto, Chizuru’s adopted younger brother, are initially cold and dismissive, but she warms toward him after he risks his life to save her from the ocean. Despite this shift, she continues to enforce physical boundaries, responding with punches whenever his attempts at intimacy become too forward. Akane has a severe alcohol intolerance; even a single sip of sweet wine (amazake) renders her visibly intoxicated. She is consistently shown wearing the Kunpō High School uniform.
