Description
Akasha Shishidou rose through the Kōgon Sect’s ranks as Gon-Sojo, renowned for his unmatched skill and unwavering devotion. His bond with Hibiki, a childhood companion turned lover, anchored his early years until her terminal diagnosis shattered their future. Desperate to defy death, he channeled the sect’s forbidden arts to resurrect her as a Shikabane Hime—a gambit that briefly revived her before tragedy struck. Forced to destroy Hibiki when she spiraled into a rampaging entity after purging 108 Shikabanes, Akasha’s grief curdled into fury when the sect entombed her remains without rites, denying her final peace.

Renouncing his vows, Akasha absconded with sacred sūtra scrolls housing esoteric rituals, allying with the Shichisei and Unclean Bunch to dismantle the order he once revered. Over five years in exile, he refined the stolen techniques into a Mandala seal that enslaved Shikabanes by exploiting their unresolved mortal ties, weaponizing their anguish as fuel. His vendetta crystallized in the Kisourenge—a grotesque amalgam of Shikabanes unleashed upon Sekku Temple to obliterate former comrades like Keisei Tagami and Makina Hoshimura. Preferring subterfuge over direct combat, he manipulated battles from the shadows, probing adversaries’ vulnerabilities while collaborating with rogues like Rogere Gustav and Shimen to erode the sect’s foundations.

Once driven by pride and faith, Akasha now wielded cold pragmatism, viewing lives as expendable tools to forge Shikabane puppets. Rare flickers of his past self emerged in solitary reflections on Hibiki, though these were swiftly smothered by his all-consuming crusade. His gray hair and green eyes framed a shift from the sect’s blue robes to crimson yukatas, symbols of his rupture from tradition. Clutching the pilfered sūtras, he orchestrated destruction through proxies, ensuring his hands—and conscience—remained clean.
