Description
Heine, also known as Heine of the Flame, serves as one of the Four Heavenly Kings in the Demon Army. She possesses dark skin, white hair, red eyes, prominent horns, and a curvaceous figure, typically wearing a skimpy red-trimmed outfit due to heat sensitivity caused by her fire-based abilities.

Initially, she carries herself with pride and dutiful politeness, hesitating to harm children and offering enemies like Six a place in the Demon Army. She shows kindness toward comrades, expressing concern for Russell of the Water—whom she views as a child—and sharing a protective partnership with Viper. However, repeated trauma inflicted by Six, including sexual harassment, public humiliation, and the theft of her magicite stone, shatters her faith in humanity, forging a deep-seated hatred.

Her history begins confronting Six’s unit after their attack on the Demon Army’s supply convoy, where she attempts to recruit him twice, facing rejection and harassment. During their second battle, Six steals her magicite—a dragon-sourced crystal essential for amplifying her fire magic to Heavenly King levels—leaving her weakened. She later joins the invasion of Grace Kingdom, witnessing Gadalkand’s death and accepting a one-month truce before retreating. Subsequent events include her defeat by Kisaragi executive Lilith and her indirect role in Demon Lord Mehlmehl’s death. After the Demon Army’s surrender, her fate varies: the anime leaves it unresolved; the manga depicts her surviving wilderness abandonment by Six, later imprisoned and enslaved by Kisaragi for "evil point" farming; the light novel confirms her enslavement at a Kisaragi powerplant, forced to heat water indefinitely.

Her abilities focus on fire magic, significantly enhanced by her magicite to generate blue fireballs, alongside innate heat resistance. Equipment includes a replacement magicite obtained by ally Tiger Man and a teleport stone for returning to the Demon Lord’s castle. Key relationships center on her trauma with Six, whom she vows to kill; her mentorship of Russell; grief over Gadalkand’s death; a competitive yet betrayed dynamic with Snow; and care for Viper. She also reconciles with her griffin mount, Isaac, after initially losing him during her enslavement.

A mutant-class demon, Heine’s unlucky encounters and moral shifts define her character arc across all official media.
