His persistent documentation leads him to witness Birdy's battles against criminals like Bacillus and Geega, resulting in injury from debris during one confrontation. As the Ryunka crisis unfolds, Muroto assists Tsutomu Senkawa and Natsumi Hayamiya in investigating the devastated Sawajiri Village. He encounters hostile armed forces there, requiring rescue by Birdy from a reconstructed marionette. Later, during the Ryunka outbreak in Tokyo, Muroto risks danger to aid Tsutomu in locating Sayaka Nakasugi aboard the spacecraft Lost Bird. His role expands during the falling satellite threat, where he provides critical assistance by using his connections to secure a high-speed aircraft, enabling Birdy to intercept the satellite and prevent disaster.
