Description
Tamaki Kousaka originates from the visual novel *To Heart 2* and appears across its adaptations and spin-offs. She is a childhood friend of both Takaaki Kouno and Konomi Yuzuhara, who view her as an older sister figure. After leaving them to attend an all-girls boarding school during childhood, she returns to fulfill a promise to reunite during their final high school year. She is one year senior to Takaaki at Hoshinoumi Private School.

Physically, Tamaki has waist-length red hair, frequently styled in a ponytail or twin tails, featuring spiky bangs and brown, tareme-shaped eyes. She stands 165 cm tall with measurements of 89-58-82 cm. Her typical attire is a sailor school uniform with thigh-high stockings, though she is also documented wearing miniskirts, tank tops, jeans, yukata, and bikinis.

Personality-wise, she projects a strong, confident, and dominant demeanor, acting as a protective older sister within her friend group that includes Konomi, Takaaki, and her younger brother Yuuji Kousaka. She often refers to herself in the third person as "Tama-onee-chan." Her traits encompass charisma, maturity, kindness, and a mischievous streak, alongside stubbornness and a tendency toward playful physical aggression, such as grabbing faces with an "iron-claw" when annoyed. Despite her wealthy background and training in traditional Japanese arts, she maintains a modern sensibility.

Her narrative arc involves navigating romantic feelings toward Takaaki amidst a dynamic where multiple female characters compete for his attention. In the spin-off *To Heart 2: Dungeon Travelers*, she is transported to a fantasy RPG world alongside other characters, assuming the fighter-class role within the party. Here, she participates in combat with skills that evolve through class advancements like Paladin, Dark Knight, Valkyrie, Samurai, or Dark Lord, depending on player choices, aiding the party's quest to defeat a final boss and return home.

In other media, including OVAs and manga anthologies, her interactions further explore her relationships, particularly her dynamic with Takaaki and her role as a mediator and protector within the group. Her background as a transfer student and her commitment to keeping childhood promises remain consistent elements across all appearances.
