Description
Menace began as princess of the ancient Egyptian-themed Amara Kingdom, destined to become Queen Menace the First. Her reign was thwarted when her trusted adviser Anarista betrayed her during an enemy invasion, trapping Menace in the palace slave quarters where she died as the kingdom fell into ruin roughly 4000 years before the main story.

Resurrected millennia later by the Swamp Witch as part of a conquest plan, Menace's innate royal pride and domineering nature led her to refuse servitude and escape. Her focus shifted to restoring the lost Amara Kingdom, gathering followers and resources through magical coercion and manipulation. A merchant's advice prompted her to enter the Queen's Blade tournament as a path to power.

Physically, Menace is a well-toned young woman standing 157 cm tall, with black bob-cut hair and blue eyes. Her attire features distinct Ancient Egyptian motifs: a golden cobra-adorned headpiece, a jeweled breastplate, blue-and-white striped panties, and a translucent front cloth. White bandages wrap her arms, serving both as aesthetic elements and combat tools for mid-range attacks and constriction. She wields Setra, a living, sentient scepter with a cat-like head. Setra acts as her weapon and companion, known for being chatty, mischievous, and frequently making inappropriate remarks.

In combat, Menace blends magical abilities granted by her resurrection with royal martial arts. She summons evil spirits to resurrect and enslave individuals, launches her bandages to immobilize foes, and employs Setra as a blunt or grappling weapon. Her martial training allows her to emit a cursed aura from her fists that drains an opponent's life force upon contact, manifesting as black flames causing rapid physical decay.

Her story starts in *Queen's Blade: The Exiled Virgin*, operating reluctantly for the Swamp Witch. She attempts to enslave protagonist Leina within her pyramid and battles Tomoe and Shizuka. Confronted about her kingdom's fall, she triggers her pyramid's self-destruction, declaring her intent to rebuild Amara. Later, she joins other minions attacking tournament participants with an Army of the Dead but is defeated.

In *Queen's Blade 2: The Evil Eye*, Menace enters the Queen's Blade tournament at the Swamp Witch's command to sabotage it. She establishes a makeshift palace in Gainos, enslaving locals with spells to serve her luxurious lifestyle, including receiving oil massages. Her desert match against Claudette sees her dominate initially using sand-based attacks and curses, until rain weakens her control, leading to defeat. Queen Aldra punishes her by turning her to stone; she is later freed during Leina's battle with Aldra.

The OVA *Queen's Blade: Beautiful Warriors* reveals Menace successfully revived the Kingdom of Amara in a small desert region, becoming queen to 98 citizens. She genuinely cares for her subjects "from the bottom of her heart" while maintaining her domineering demeanor. When the Swamp Witch orders her return via messengers Airi and Melona, Menace refuses, with Setra claiming the resurrection debt was repaid using Amara's treasures. Melona is tempted to stay by Menace's lifestyle, leading to a fight destroying the palace, but Menace remains independent.

In *Queen's Blade: Vanquished Queens*, Menace appears briefly among victims consumed by Helosium, later thanking Airi after being freed. The *Queen's Blade Unlimited* OVA shows her operating a flying carpet, offering transportation and later observing battles alongside Aldra.

Her personality remains consistently self-centered and luxury-driven, prioritizing massages, authority, and royal comforts. Her ancient origins leave her ignorant of modern societal norms, though she adapts by manipulating others. Despite often cruel methods, her dedication to her reborn kingdom appears sincere later on.

Her name parallels the Egyptian Pharaoh Menes, sharing themes of luxury and betrayal. Her fighting style, poses, and background draw intentional similarities to Souther from *Fist of the North Star*, including a diving attack resembling Souther's signature technique.
