Description
Headmaster Enmadai, also known as Lord Enma, serves as principal of Y-Academy following his revival. Originally the king of the Yo-kai World, he sacrificed himself to defeat the threat known as Overseer, an act that destroyed the Yo-kai World. His spirit transferred to another dimension, connecting with a human named Emma Daiouji. Residing within her body and absorbing her energy, he gradually regained physical form, manifesting intermittently in her dreams and during crises.
After YSP Club members exorcised an Onryo possessing a teacher, he fully manifested within the principal's office of Kinya Daiouji, reincarnated into a new identity. He revealed the Yo-kai World's destruction resulted from a catastrophic battle where he and Zazel suffered grave injuries combating a dimensional storm. To counter this invasion threatening their world, they harnessed Mikettio—a power derived from three cat-like Yo-kai.
As principal, he guided students and staff against alien incursions, disclosing his past and Mikettio's significance to the YSP Club. Adopting the alias Enmadai Rijichou, he secretly developed combat units called Gakkouger Enma to bolster the academy's defenses. He actively participated in strategic efforts, observing the war between Y-Academy and Y-High School and aiding battles against entities like Ozma and Mazera. During the conflict with the black hole entity Mazera, he supported deploying a specialized missile designed to destroy it.
His leadership extended to mentoring students, correcting misunderstandings about Emma Daiouji's suspected alien identity, and collaborating with allies like Zazel. In the final confrontation against Ozma, he combined forces with Zazel and the Yo-kai Heroes, channeling the New Yo-kai World's energy to form the entity Earthman. Following the restoration of the Yo-kai World, he resumed his duties as its ruler, parting ways with human associates Kinya Daiouji and Natsuki Enra.
His appearance evolved post-revival: he now wears a detailed red-and-black jumpsuit featuring symbolic sun and moon motifs on the sleeves, a dark blue sash bearing the kanji for "king," and a black mantle adorned with neon green patterns. This contrasts with his original Yo-kai king form, reflecting his adapted role in the human world.
