Description
Cenerentola, the only daughter of a wealthy duke, endures profound hardship after her mother's death. Her father remarries intending to provide her a mother, but departs on an extended foreign trip, leaving her vulnerable. Her stepmother and stepsisters seize her room and possessions, force her into ragged clothes, banish her to the attic, and impose relentless household labor. Despite this systematic abuse, she remains intrinsically kind-hearted, gentle, and optimistic. She persists in caring for her hostile stepfamily and assisting them whenever possible. Her compassion includes animals; she deeply loves them and disapproves of hunting for sport.

She possesses caramel brown hair, dark blue eyes, cherry red lips, and fair skin, acknowledged as the most beautiful girl in the Emerald Kingdom. Her daily life involves grueling work, yet she tackles every task with dedication and patience. Her optimism endures through adversity, fueled by dreams of living in a grand castle, owning a horse, and having many friends.

Significant companionship comes from household animals: her dog Patch, mice Chuchu and Bingo, and a bird named Pappy. Her fairy godmother, Paulette, subtly observing and aiding her, grants these animals the ability to speak. They offer crucial emotional support and practical help with her chores.

Her life changes during a flower festival meeting with a boy calling himself Charles, who claims to be a pageboy serving the prince. Discovering his lies, she nicknames him "Charles the Fibber." Unaware, this is Prince Charles escaping royal duties from boredom. Despite initial misunderstandings due to his deception, a close friendship forms, deepening into romance through shared adventures opposing Duke Zaral's plots against the crown. These experiences foster mutual growth: Charles gains appreciation for his responsibilities witnessing her struggles, while she moves beyond an idealized "Celeb Crush" on the prince, loving Charles as an individual.

Suspicion arises when she glimpses the prince's face, noting similarities to Charles. However, after an incident in the Royal Vineyard, she chooses to value their bond over pursuing the truth. His identity is revealed during their efforts to thwart Zaral's coup. Devastated, believing a prince could never marry a servant, she ends the relationship.

When the king and queen host a ball for Prince Charles to choose a bride, her stepfamily prevents her attendance, mocking her plan to wear her late mother's dress as outdated and destroying her invitation. Paulette then reveals herself, magically restoring the dress and invitation, and providing a pumpkin-transformed carriage with a critical midnight dissolution condition. At the ball, Charles, drawn to her familiar presence despite not immediate recognition, spends the evening with her. Losing track of time, she flees at midnight, leaving behind a glass slipper.

Initially reluctant to try the slipper during the kingdom-wide search, she agrees after her animal friends reveal she possesses its mate, leading to her engagement. During their wedding, Zaral poisons Charles and kidnaps her to the castle clock tower, bargaining for the kingdom. Charles, having feigned poisoning, rescues her after a confrontation resulting in Zaral's fatal fall.

Marrying Charles, she demonstrates enduring compassion in her happy ending, pardoning her stepfamily for their past cruelties.
