Jiro Yamanaka is the younger brother of Bunan High School's star pitcher, Kentarou Yamanaka. He transfers to rival Seishu High School and joins their baseball team in his second year, directly opposing his brother on the field while adapting to Seishu. At Seishu, Jiro develops authentic romantic feelings for Yasuda Yukimi, a track athlete pursuing the team's catcher, Niimi Katsuya.
