Description
Gonsuke is a robot character originating from the manga *21 Emon* by Fujiko F. Fujio. In the original narrative, he serves as a robot companion primarily engaged in agricultural tasks like planting and harvesting sweet potatoes. He accompanies the protagonist, 21 Emon, on space adventures, leaving the family inn to explore the universe as a loyal robot buddy.

Beyond the original series, Gonsuke frequently appears in the *Doraemon* anime and film franchise, often in minor or cameo roles. In the 2002 film *Doraemon: Nobita in the Robot Kingdom*, he is a minor figure purchased by Nobita from the Future Department Store and is depicted digging a large hole in an empty lot. His cinematic appearances include operating a time machine in *Doraemon: Nobita and the Island of Miracles ~Animal Adventure~* (2012) and working as a sweet potato farmer in both *Doraemon: Nobita's Secret Gadget Museum* (2013) and *Doraemon: Nobita's Little Star Wars 2021*.

In the 2005 *Doraemon* anime series, Gonsuke assumes various professional roles in special episodes, such as a policeman and a car mechanic. His design is that of a large robot whose head can be configured to resemble a transformer. He also appears in the 2011 episode "Move Fast, Doraemon! The Galactic Grandprix".
