Naoki Tatsuta is a veteran Japanese voice actor born on September 8, 1950, in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. He began his career in 1976 and is affiliated with the talent management firm Aoni Production. Throughout his decades-long career, he has become known for his extensive work in anime, video games, and dubbing foreign films, often providing voices for comedic characters, villains, and a wide variety of non-human roles such as animals and creatures.

Tatsuta is perhaps most widely recognized for his long-running role as Oolong, the shapeshifting pig-like character, in the Dragon Ball franchise. He has voiced Oolong across numerous series, films, and specials, including Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, and Dragon Ball Kai. His association with the series also includes voicing other characters like the monkey Bubbles, the God of War Yamu, and temporarily taking over the roles of the narrator and King Kai from the late Jōji Yanami.

His filmography includes a significant number of prominent and long-running series. In One Piece, he voices the Firetank Pirates captain Capone "Gang" Bege, a role he has played in both the television series and the film One Piece Stampede, as well as characters like Tonjit and Vasco Shot. He is a recurring presence in the GeGeGe no Kitarō franchise, having voiced the yōkai Ittan Momen, Nurikabe, and Konaki Jijii in multiple iterations of the series from 1996 onward. He also played God in the 2021 anime Heaven's Design Team. In the Kinnikuman sequel series, he is credited as both Kazuo Nakano and Nakano-san across Ultimate Muscle, Kinnikuman Nisei, and related films.

Other notable roles that highlight the breadth of his career include Dr. Escargon in Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, the Catbus in the Studio Ghibli film My Neighbor Totoro, Daima Jin in High School! Kimengumi, Dogusaburō Oniyama in the Mysterious Joker series, and Kizao in the Obake no Q-Taro films. He also provided voices for characters in classic series such as Mobile Suit Gundam, Cowboy Bebop, Urusei Yatsura, and Sailor Moon. His work extends to video games as well, including roles like Palmer in Final Fantasy VII Remake and its sequel Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
